Responsive Collaboration- Layout Work

Responsive Collaboration- Layout Work

This is the first week I have been able to work on this project as my team members have not been timetabled into the same times as me so it has been difficult to know what to do just over messages. This is why I have gone ahead and tried to work out some of the layouts of the cards before I next see them to see what needs to be done.

Here I was looking into the card shapes, these varied from large but straight harsh corners, to overly curved and small. Even though the bottom design would be good for a child and safe, we would loose too much space from it being so small. This is why the shape on the right is the most suitable for the project.
As part of the BEARpack, it stated that each card needs to be numbered as they are a collectible set for each series. This is why I was looking at different styles of numbered boxes for the bottom of the cards. There are many variations as I couldn't decide which would work best for the card designs. But looking at the Logo I have done, the pin in the card looks most suiting, but this may change along the way and evolve.
When starting to design the cards and get the front and back deigned, I noticed on all the BEAR cards, there was an inner ring that was left white so this is something I have kept in the design. As the collectable element for kids to enjoy, I have added the logo as a sticker so when children read about the fears, they can take the sticker as a reward and feel more protected about the overall fear they might have. This is something I have just added but will ask my team what they think as this is an idea that can change and my team members know more about the cards actual size to see if this would be too small. I have also added 3D boxes for the title and a small fact for the front next to the character as this will prompt the children to turn over the card and learn more, as well as leaving enough room for the character itself.
Here is a close-up of the logo and card number banner designed, this is a shield design so it further lets children know they are protected and safe from the fears they have. BEAR fights FEAR is the logo and name of our card sets as our theme needed to be apparent but also make children interested and wanting to read more into the cards and want to collect them.
Here is a quick look at what the card looks like at the moment, this cat is one of the designs done by one of my teammates as she wanted to do the fear of cats but this was not one of the 25 most common fears so this has been changed, but it shows what the cards could look like and the size of the character itself.
